HF Propagation Map - Help
Zones: These are general polygon areas representing signal reachability by band and mode (e.g., FT8, CW). Best for wide coverage views.
Summary: This shows aggregated signal strength and activity per 4-character grid (e.g., CM87). Use this to get a quick high-level overview of band conditions.
Cluster: This shows directional activity centered around a specific grid (entered as "Perspective"). Ideal for assessing where signals are coming from/to, based on your location.
MUF: This view shows the estimated Maximum Usable Frequency (MUF) per grid based on real signal paths. Ideal for spotting high-frequency openings in real time.
How to use:
- Select a view mode: Zones, Summary, or Cluster.
- Choose a band to filter by (or "All").
- For Cluster view, enter a valid 4-character grid (e.g., CM87) and press Enter.
